I think I broke the internet yesterday… In the best way possible!
I didn’t have on any makeup all day yesterday on my stories and didn’t do a single thing to my hair. You guys flooded my DM’s asking me skin care and hair questions and basically just in complete shock that I was bare facing it and was au natural on the internet.
Clearly I don’t do this enough… Well, actually I know I don’t but here’s why.
I started wearing makeup in like 4th grade. I seriously did y’all! I have always been a glamorous fashionista simply because that’s how my mama is.
But because I ALWAYS had on makeup I never felt myself without makeup on. I would wear a full face of makeup while I played volleyball. Like we are talking waking up an hour early to put on full coverage foundation and everything else that went into a slammed out face on those early weekend tournaments. Crazy right?! But that was just my normal.
I know what you’re thinking. She probably had to do that because she had terrible skin. And the answer to that question is no you are wrong. I’ve actually always had really great skin. Clear and smooth. I just felt more confident with makeup on. I still do, but I have learned how to be comfortable in my own skin and rock the makeup free face that God gave me.
Let’s start with my skin care routine!
I probably have the easiest and cheapest routine out of any blogger you follow.
Here’s what I use and I swear by :

It all starts with a fresh face.
Step 1: Face Cleanser
I use the Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser. It’s only $4.99 and lasts for FOREVER! This is the only product I use in the morning and at night.
At night, I use this cleanser to get all of my makeup off. It works wonders.
Step 2: Another Facial Cleanser
For this one I use the Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Cleanser. This one is a little bit more expensive but it is still very affordable. It is $30 at Sephora and lasts for a few months.
This product I only use at night! I apply it but using my Vanity Planet Ultimate Skin Spa System. You can get it off of the actual Vanity Planet site for $129.99 or do what I did and order it off of Amazon for $35. I don’t know about you guys, but I defiantly think Amazon is where it’s at 😉
Step 3: Mask / Moisturizer
This step varies a little bit. 6 days a week I will apply just the Summer Fridays Jet Leg Mask. You can get it at Sephora in either the mini size for $25 or the full size product for $48.
This product I only use at night!
OR
One day a week I use the GLAMGLOW SUPERMUD Activated Charcoal Treatment Mask. I leave it on for 10-20 minutes at night only. I recommend getting the large size product. It is valued at Sephora for $59.
Once I wash this off I apply the GLAMGLOW GLOWSTARTER Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in the shade “Nude Glow”. IT. IS. HEAVEN. IN. A. BOTTLE. Y’ALL! Once again I recommend getting the full size product and it is valued at $49.
That pretty much sums it up for skin care. I am so basic and literally never change it up because my skin is so sensitive. This is what works for me to keep my skin glowing and clear.
Moving on to hair care. Lets start in the shower 😉
For Shampoo and Conditioner I use Biolage by Matrix, but I use two different types in that line.
Shampoo: I use the ULTRA HYDRASOURCE to hydrate my hair. It’s no secret that I have chemically treated hair. I’m a natural very dark brunette and I love to be a bright blonde. My hair is very fine and pin straight but I have TONS and TONS of it. I need a shampoo that can lather really nicely so I know my hair is getting cleaned. I always do two washes. One to get the product out of my hair and the second one is to clean my hair. Smells amazing and is only $18.
Conditioner: I use the COLORLAST version in the Biolage by Matrix line. Because I do have artificially colored blonde hair I need to make sure my blonde stays bright and toned and doesn’t fade to brassy and dull. This does the trick! I personally can not use a hydrating conditioner because my hair is so fine it will start to look greasy after one day. Girl, I don’t have time for that! This product is one dollar more coming in at $19.
When I get out of the shower I spray in the OUAI Leave In Conditioner. The smell is to die for y’all and is only $26.
And last but not least after brushing through my hair but before blow drying I use KÉRASTASE Paris Blond Absolu Cicaplasme. It is a “universal fortifying heat-protecting serum” and when I say this product smells like Channel in a bottle I am not kidding you. It’s a purple based product which also helps keep my blonde toned! It is $37 and worth EVERY.SINGLE.PENNY!
